Gamal John is a singer who reached the Semi-Finals of Series 16 of Britain's Got Talent. He was aged 36 at the time of his audition. He was born in Trinidad, however he was raised in Bedford. He received Bruno Tonioli's second Golden Buzzer.

Before his performance, he stated he felt nervous yet believed he'd be alright after he stepped on stage. He also stated that his father sang Calypso and his siblings also sang. He also stated that he worked in a warehouse at night, whilst also working as a carpenter when his eldest son were born, and how his son had been pushing him to perform on the show for several years beforehand.

In his audition, John performed 'It's A Man's Man's World' by James Brown. Bruno remarked 'I am gobsmacked [and] I am speechless', with Alesha adding 'I knew the minute I heard the first note [that] you are an absolute superstar'. Following his performance, due to endless chanting from the audience to provide John with a Golden Buzzer, Bruno obliged thus breaking the shows rules once again and pressing the Golden Buzzer for a second time, sending John directly onto the Semi-Finals.

In the Semi-Finals, John performed 'September' by Earth, Wind & Fire with his performance accompanied by several backing dancers located on the stage and in the audience. Amanda remarked 'I just feel like this is what you were absolute born to do [as] you just seem so chill', with Simon adding 'I thought the best part of the song was the end part where again we could hear what a great singer you are'.
